User Research Specialist

What You Need

  • Nimble Mind
    How do you go about solving problems? Do you weigh all the evidence first or make a decision based on intuition? To thrive in this role, you will need to be quick on your feet while also processing lots of information, so you can field questions from clients confidently and honestly.
  • Solid Communication
    Can you confidently lead a discussion with complete strangers? Can you transform a situation with an unhappy client, or clarify if there is a miscommunication? To excel in this role you’ll need patience, a desire to listen before speaking, and an ability to understand multiple view points. You’ll need to communicate openly and candidly, while maintaining a level of tact and diplomacy.
  • Scientific Methods
    Does thought of creating hypothesis get you excited? What about observing & analyzing users? A User Research Specialist not only solves problems and communicates with finesse, but takes a disciplined and focused approach in acquiring the right data. If you love numbers, observations, and analysis, then you will feel right at home
  • User Advocate
    Do you consider the user? Is it your soapbox, mantra, or cause to put business’s attention back to the user? This position is 100% about our clients’ users: Determining who they are, what they need and where their pain points are is the name of the game.

More Details

  • This is a temp to perm position.
  • Occasionally, you can work from your couch (we are telecommuting friendly.)
  • Most often, you do research with us in our Central Square digs.
  • We're lookin' for a local (Bahstahn accent not necessary.) A face-to-face interview is required but don't worry, we Skype. And if you are remote, we'll help you relocate if you join the team.
