Job Description - User Experience Specialist
Summary
Above the Fold is seeking a User Experience Specialist, preferably with experience working with Enterprise companies. The contractor is expected to work approximately 20 hours per month for the first few months, on a new assignment with a key account. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who proactively manages client expectations and can respond to email and phone inquiries within 24 hours.
Duties
- Create wireframes, process flows, interaction design, interactive prototypes and other related deliverables and specifications for the creative and technical teams
- Interview stakeholders to gather requirements and business goals, and translate that information into documentation
- Balance business requirements with user needs and create solutions that satisfy both, or clearly demonstrate where they conflict and suggest solutions
Requirements
- BS/BA or MS/MA/MFA degree in Graphic Design or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of experience in the interaction design of Web applications
- Solid understanding of UCD principles and interaction design skills
- Enjoy working collaboratively with other designers and team members
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Mastery of design tools including Photoshop and other design tools
Logistics
- This is a part-time/full-time position
- Must reside in the Boston area
- Work from home is preferred, but in-person meetings are required on occasion
- Compensation is dependent upon experience
